Q. Is dress code enforced?

To promote learning, safety, and image, DRESS-CODE IS ENFORCED. GIRLS MUST WEAR one-piece of swimwear (no individual shorts or shirts will be allowed; they must be attached as a one-piece). BOYS MUST WEAR swimming trunks and fitted (not loose) rash guard or one-piece swimwear. NO COTTON SHIRTS will be permitted. If students are not wearing proper swimming attire, they can purchase one at our facility, PRO-SHOP, to ensure they will be allowed to attend their class.

Q. Is swimming cap and googles required to wear? My child does not want to wear his/her cap or goggles, can he go to his/her class without them?

To promote learning, safety, and image, YES, the students must wear goggles and the cap provided. Students must follow instructions and wear the necessary gear to go into their class. If students are not following instructions or do not wear their gear, they will not be allowed to attend class. Swimming caps and goggles are FREE the first time you register. If students lose or damage their cap/goggles, both are available for purchase at our facility, PRO-SHOP.

Q. Will my child learn in two weeks?

EVERY CHILD IS DIFFERENT! Some students will take a little longer than others to learn. 2-3 sessions are recommended. We use the FAST TRACK technique using a time-tested curriculum of many years of experience directed by Coach Martinez. 

 

Q. What if my child does not like it?

Being able to swim is a skill YOUR CHILD NEEDS to stay safe in the water in the event of an accident.

 

Q. What age can my child start swimming lessons?

AGES 2 & UP

 

Q. Is Martinez Swim School open year round?

 No, we open in mid-February and close towards the end of September, since the pool is outdoor. 

 

Q. Is the pool heated? Is it indoor?

Yes, the pool is heated to 85F every day. Although the pool is outdoor,  there is a roof that offers shade.

Q. How do I pay for lessons?

Payments are IN-PERSON or ONLINE. We accept cash, or debit/credit card.

Q. Do you offer make-up lessons for missed swim classes?

No, since classes have a student limit, we do not offer make-up classes for missed classes. NO EXEPTIONS!

Q. Do you offer refunds, class time/date change or credits?

Due to operational costs, spot reservations, and student limits, NO refunds or credits will be issued at Martinez Swim School. NO EXEPTIONS!
